Advice to an Immigrant

Don't turn your back on the land of your birth

Or disdain the old place because of your worth.

It gave you your life to do as you,

So only be thankful life turned out so good.

Your may swear your allegiance to a land that is new

And sincerely believe your promises true.

But deep down in your heart and hard to explain

Is that sad little corner you keep calling "hame".

You may love and revere the land that is new

And appreciate fully its goodness to you,

But your birthplace will stay wherever you roam,

As the one place on earth you can really call "Home".
